Youth Centric Services

Youth Centric Services proudly offers Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a specialized therapeutic intervention meticulously designed for young children who have been exposed to trauma or maltreatment, along with their dedicated caregivers. Our CPP program not only nurtures healthy child development but also facilitates the healing and strengthening of the child-parent relationship, fostering an environment of safety and trust. By addressing trauma-related symptoms, CPP empowers both children and caregivers on their journey to recovery and growth.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation

Psychiatric rehabilitation promotes recovery, full community integration and improved quality of life for persons who have been diagnosed with any mental health condition that seriously impairs their ability to lead meaningful lives.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Eligibility

To receive PRP services you MUST be in treatment with a licensed mental health professional. Your therapist must complete your referral to Changing Lives Together for us to review. 

Individualized services are provided in the child’s home or community. This is an opportunity for the youth to adapt new skills in their natural environment. Emphasis is placed on skill development, enhancing self-confidence and establishing a network of natural supports. All individual and group Activities are geared to the youth’s age, abilities, and interests. Treatment focus on building skills in the following areas

  • Age-appropriate social skills

  • Self-esteem/confidence building

  • Development of conflict resolution skills

  • Anger management techniques

  • Community awareness/safety

  • Advocacy

  • Education

  • Life skills training (i.e. grooming, hygiene, nutrition, etc.)

  • Assisting the parent/guardian with scheduling and maintaining appointments for the child/adolescent

  • Coordination of care with the parent/guardian, as well as with other providers/treatment team members (i.e. therapist, psychiatrists, PCP, substance abuse providers, specialists)

  • Other areas of need as identified

Minor PRP Eligibility

Entitlement Assistance

A key service under our PRP program is performing entitlement reviews and assisting clients/consumers to access resources such as EBT (Food stamps), housing, energy assistance and other resources that censures you or your loved on can stay in communities of your own choice.

To Qualify for PRP Services You Must:

  • Have active Medical Assistance in the state of Maryland

  • Be under the care of a licensed clinical mental health professional 

  • Meet the medical necessity criteria

  • The program serves Adults, ages 18 and up, with with severe and persistent mental illness, priority diagnosis.

  • Actively receiving treatment from a physician or licensed clinician for a mental health diagnosis, and who have or are eligible for medical assistance.

Adult PRP Eligibility

Skill Building

Teaching the client social skills/communication skills/problem-solving skills/relaxation skills/anger management skills/assertiveness skills to promote self-sufficiency. Skill building takes place in the community or in our group settings.

Other PRP Services

  • Psychoeducation: Mental health education regarding self-management of symptoms, medication, and side effects.

  • Health education: Education regarding optimal physical health and wellness activities.

  • Assessing rehabilitation preferences: Determining with the person his or her personal perspectives and preferences regarding participation in the psychiatric rehabilitation process.

  • Setting rehabilitation goals. This is the process by which the person chooses desired rehabilitation goal(s).

  • Functional assessment: Determining with the person the specific skills and supports or resources the person needs and prefers to develop, achieve, and maintain rehabilitation goal(s).
